"Have just decided to get my 4 yr old son some new swim sorts as just looked in the label of his 'shark' and 'Lobster' shorts and realised that they are 18-24 months, thought they looked a bit short lateley!!!!

Love the new designs, but why oh why Jonnie are there no 4-5yrs?????

Have gone for the 3-4 and will keep fingers crossed old skinny minny doesn't have a sudden weight gain ;-)"

"I have bought a few pairs of these over the years as my two boys have grown and they are really good, They wash and tumble time and time again and do not fade or look worn and they last for ages. They are bright and funky and the boys love them."

"My two boys have been wearing these bathers since they were toddlers - they survive long summers on Norfolk beaches (pebbles and rock pools) and still are good to be handed down. The first pair we bought have just been passed onto my youngest godson - the fourth outing for them."

"We bought these swim shorts for my son this summer and recently bought the next size up for next summer! The quality and fit is excellent. One note is that they do fade quickly, but not necessarily a bad thing. They are just lighter than the picture (and before you wash them). The quality is still there, they just have more of a faded look to them."

"We started ordering Mini Boden for my first son about 4-5 years ago, he is now 7 and has passed all his MB clothes down to his 4 year old younger brother. The bathers might appear faded at first, but they remain that same color for the rest of the time. Our bathers have been through two kids, Hawaii, Mexico, S. California and Florida and we've rinsed them, hung them in the sun, etc and they remain perfect. I am now passing them onto my cousin's 3 year old and they STILL look great."

"I was really excited about this bathing suit (I bought a pair for each of my two boys), but they have not held up their appearance very well. It is only June but the colors have faded quite a lot, which I noticed happening almost immediately. I bought a pair of the longer board shorts and they have held up much better. I won't buy these particular suits again. This is the first item from Boden that I have purchased where I have been disappointed in the quality."

"As soon as my son put it on he burst out "so soft"! He will only wears what feels soft on his skin, walk thru the stores touching every single pieces of clothing before I can purchase them. While the material outside is rough, the inside feels like silk, they fit him well, and he looks fantastic in it."

"We own almost the entire MB line and these are one of our favorites. To help you compare w/how this may fit your child here is the stats on mine: My son is 4, 33 pounds, VERY slim, TINY waist and he's about 41" in height. We purchased every single pair of these except the red sharks. I cannot decide which print I like best because they are all so great. My son wears the 3-4 in these and they fit PERFECT and will undoubtedly fit him through the entire summer and beyond. Some mentioned the fabric was a little rough which I thought as well when they arrived but after they are washed they completely soften up. They are supposed to have a vintagey look to them so if they fade a bit or look a drop faded, they are supposed to. But, I will tell you ours have been washed so many times I can't count and they look exactly the same as the day they arrived in the mail just softer."

"I love these swim trunks, but I however was a little dissappointed in the way they washed up. It seems they fade a little and have a wierd feeling to the material. But they are still super cute and my little boy will be wearing them for sure."
