"I have absolutely adored the T-Shirt dresses in the past - they are easy to put on, look beautiful and wash very well.....so imagine my surprise when I recieve this years dress - shorter (knee length), the waist is very large and the 'elizabeth line' much higher than in the past -it just doesn't look right and I'm having to send it back. Such a shame as my daugther lives in the original one.....why have you changed the style/measurements?"

"I bought this dress for my daughter from the Boden shop in Surrey, I'm glad I went there because I would not have ordered this from the catalogue or online as pictures don't do it justice. It is good quality and looks expensive (which it is!), my only gripe is that the neckline is a little loose, my 2 year old's little neck and chest look a little over-exposed, and a vest shows and detracts from the dress. A lovely easy versatile dress to have in the wardrobe though."

"My daughter, now 6, but who wears a UK size 7-8, is becoming more fussy about how clothes feel on her, and she likes the easy style of this comfortable and fun dress. The baby-cord skirt part has some substance to it, and she also likes the T-shirt feel of it."

"This dress is not as nice as last years. The dress is too short and looks like a tent on my daughter. Also the corduroy material is not soft, it is a bit paperlike. The overall appearance just did not suit my daughter."

"I was really excited when I saw this dress and was not disappointed at all when I received. My daughter is 4 and I chose the blue skirt with spots at first I thought the fit was slightly strange and the skirt wasn't as long as I expected but it really works on her and looks fab with her brown boden boots. She loves wearing it as its so comfy and easy but looks so smart - she's had lots of compliments when wearing it."

"I bought this dress again this year as my daughter has worn last years until there are holes in the sleeves. She was so excited and then it arrived. Oh dear what have you done, the style is now 'A' line and it looks like my ten year old is wearing a dress that should be on a five year old. The style does not work and beware it is a lot shorter than last year. Please Boden bring back the old design."

"I have bought these dresses for my 4 year old daughter for the past 3 years. When i saw the gorgeous spotty print i couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I was then left mortified to see they had changed the style and it dosen't work. It is too short and did nothing for her. I am sending it back!!! Please please please change the style back for next year......"

"Eldest daughter is on her 3rd dress in this style, she wears them roughly once a week, and they still are good enough to pass on to little sister. Also pass the comfort test and the twirly skirt test for her and the don't need ironing test for me!"

"Lovely dress, i buy them every year but have to agreee with other reviewers that the length is too short compared with the top so you end up with either a dress thats too short and nice fitting top,or correct length and baggy on top! I got the aqua spot one and it looks lovely with brown Ugg boots and tights. Would buy another but dont like the colours this year unfortunately."

I'm pleased to see that the tiered dresses from last season have been shelved in favour of the original style, so much easier to shorten if required. Please could we have a few less busy patterns.
