"I've only just got these in the sale so this review is based pretty much on first impressions.
Firstly the colour (pewter) is great - warmer than silver with bronzey tones and less garish than gold so should have more mileage for wearing with lots of things. The suede toe and the laces are ecru which goes very well with this shade but was a surprise as it doesn't look like this on website photos or in the old catalogues where these details look white. The bottom rubber part that runs round the edges is white though.
Another surprise was that the white part wasn't more chunky - the strip is quite thin making the side view quite shallow. I think I would have prefered chunkier as it would've looked more balanced.
Will probably keep them as it's nice to have leather rather than canvassy pumps for the summer. Fit wise I'm a 41 and these feel fine. Good value for sale price but would not have bought at full price."

"I LOVE these plimsolls!!! I ordered the pewter, and they go with everything. I usually wear a UK size 40 (US size 10), but after reading other reviews, I sized up to a 41. The laces are long, but I just double-tie and they stay tied all day! I loved the pewter ones so much, I ordered the blue, which I am wearing for the first time today. These go with all my casual pants and are cute and comfortable. At the same time, I don't feel as if I 'see myself' everywhere I go. Yea, Boden!"

"Am just off out for first time in my dalmatian print pumps and feel like the bees knees! I had the dalmatian ballet pumps last year (which still look immaculate), and almost every time i wear those someone comments about my gorgeous shoes, so i'm hoping for a similar response with the pumps. I would agree the sizing is way out, and i had to exchange for a smaller size than i normally wear. Am now in process of dropping heavy hints in hope of getting the handbag for xmas!"

"I was overjoyed when animal prints came back into fashion this year & loved the look of the shoes in the catalogue. When they arrived however I was really put off (& a bit freaked out) by them! I ordered the Dalmation ones & they were truely awful, I actually felt I was walking around with dog fur on my feet! They were far too hairy & this looked even more odd next to the suede. They were also HUGE! I am usually a UK 6 but always order a 7 with Boden as I always find they come up small, however when I took these out of the box I actually had to check it again to make sure they'd sent me the right size! These had the potential to be great , maybe the plain coloured suede ones are better (I was thinking of ordering the brown but they are now out of stock!)- I am really disappointed!"

"As with a previous reviewer, I am also a Uk 5.5 with wide feet. I ordered the size 6 which is normally a snug fit for Boden. These were absolutely huge. I looked and felt as though I had clown feet!!! Overall these pumps are quite cute but the sole is quite thin for the price. Converse trainers are a better quality. Unfortunately these are going back. Shame."

"I have loved everything I have bought from Boden, but I was very disappointed in this shoe. It was a bit flimsy and there was no cushion or support. It was also not true to size as I am a 7.5 and I ordered a 38 which was way too small. They seemed very inexpensive for the price. I will exchange them for a top."

"It may just be my own little opinion, but these shoes in person are UGLY! I ordered the leopard print and they are more "hairy" than I expected (which sort of freaked me out), the suede part is too long (with long pants you can't even see the leopard print which is why I bought them in the first place) and the laces just don't seem to "go" with the overall shoe. Not super comfortable either, for the price. I expected a better quality shoe, and definitely something better looking! The idea of leopard print sneakers is fabulous, however, but I will have to continue my search with a different brand."

"Really pleased with these - true to size, very comfortable. I walked 3 miles with them to school and back on the first day with no discomfort at all! Suede is pretty but not the very fine kind, so hopefully will wear well. I got the green ones - love the colour! It is not quite so bright as the catalogue photo suggests."

"I am a UK5.5 with a wide-ish foot, and normally buy a size 6/39 in the High Street, but usually end up with a size 40 at Boden because of the strange sizing issues we have here.
I have tried the Leopard, Pewter and Brown options in sizes 39 and 40. These plimsolls seem to be fitting true to size, so if you are a size 5.5 or 6, go for size 39.
They are generally very comfortable, but the edges of the upper are a little rough, so you may have to wear these with socks if you are sensitive to this (I'm going to wear mine with chunky, slouchy socks - it looks really good with jeans). These shoes may rub me at the base of each heel, as the back of the shoe does not curve around the heel, so I may add a pad there if the socks do not help. This was not an issue with the Brown option, as they seem to have been made slightly better.
The Brown shoes are nice quality suede - a warm, milk chocolate brown, with no reddish tint. I didn't like the contrast stitching and they didn't look as good as the Leopard ones, so I am sending them back. The Leopard ones are utterly fab and hairy, but I may have to send them back because the laces are starting to dig in after a wearing them for ten minutes. Watch out for colour transfer on the laces, though - I have some same-coloured marks on mine, but I can't see where it has come from. The Pewter leather is much better quality than the Summer version. They are going to crease and wear in beautifully if you go for this option.
I would have preferred a darker stripe running around the base of the shoe rather than the bright white - it works fine with the other colours, but doesn't seem right on the Pewter. Maybe it will look better once the brand new brightness has worn down, but I don't think I would wear them at all as they are now, so they are sadly going back too.
I am hoping I can overcome the problem with the laces digging in, so that I can keep the Leopard option. I may sew extra padding under the tongue, or switch to less chunky laces (they are pressing down where they pass through the eyes) but that would spoil the look. If you have a very wide foot, you may not find this to be a problem as the shoes will fit you without having to draw up the laces very tightly. Some reviewers have said the laces drag on the ground; this will happen if you have a narrow foot, as these are wide-fitting plimsolls, even at the back."

"From there up, there's just too much feet"..Great song, great shoes! And there's the problem - there's just a little too much shoe for the size! If you want to be misbehavin in these (and you can), I'd advise to get a size smaller. (100% agree with other reviewees) Love the print (I bought leopard), I love the quality. Would like a little more heel, not quite so dead flat. But bottom line - well worth the buy: great with jeans and cigarette trousers - these shoes are smart,funky,chic. And I do love them even if ma feets too big."

"I bought these in dalmation and they are the cutest darn things. I put insoles in for more arch support and the laces are crazily long, but those two minor issues aside, these shoes are wonderful. They are comfy and certainly get noticed. It's hard to be anything but happy when wearing them."
