"I have the previous needlecord jeans that weren't distressed, which were a lot cheaper and they are still going well. The vintage version being more epensive have nearly worn through in less than six months and two fly studs have fallen apart. An inferior product!"

"I purchased these jeans after reading reviews by other customers. I am always a little sceptical when doing this, as buying an item unseen has the potential of being a bit disappointing. However, I have to say that in this case my fears were totally unfounded. These are a really great pair of jeans. The colour, size and fit are exceptional. Good enough to be worn with a tweed jacket or just on their own. After finishing this review I will be ordering another pair."

"As far as I'm concerned these are good for a fit 50 yr old who's tired of only wearing 501's and the like - the colours are great, especially the sage green pair!
They would also look good in a kind of maroon / claret / burgundy colour I would say..."

"My wife bought these for me a few years ago (maximum of 2) and I absolutely fell in love with them. Fantastic fit and feel but the needlecord did not wear well. They discoloured to a purple colour, she bought me the navy, to the front of the thigh. I really want another pair but worry the same will happen again."

"Classic pair of top quality needlecords. Faithful friends appropriate to wear at almost any occassion, but most of all totally comfortable, and so easy to wear with lots of things. I like clothes I don't have to think about too much,and these fit the bill perfectly."

"I've been buying this style for several years, so expected the size I bought to be a generous fit, for slopping about in, given that it was a size larger than all the other pairs I own (and am still comfortably wearing). They weren't; they didn't fit at all. The colour wasn't at all as pictured (in the catalogue or on the web-site), and was surprisingly drab for a Boden garment. So, no re-order from me.
I've given them 2 stars for quality because the cord is too light-weight IMO for the season."

"I own two pairs of these cords, and although I like the appearance, I'm not at all sure how rugged they are. The amount of wear on the front of the thighs has rather surprised me.
One other (personal) comment, the width at the bottom of the leg is quite wide at almost 18 ins. The canvas jeans are the same, and yet the heavy cords are 17 ins., which is better. I tend tp prefer trousers at 15 - 16 ish., perhaps I'm just odd!"
