"I still have several pairs of these from the past couple of years - really liked them, comfortable and great fit. But they are all starting to wear and split along the seams so I ordered a new pair.
Was very disappointed as the material and fit seems very different from previous ones. The fit is not as loose and comfortable around the thighs and they feel too constrictive - my old ones are the same size but they feel nice and loose and comfy, perfect year round casual trousers. The material feels different too. Will now need to look elsewhere for casual trousers. Smart Jeans is the wrong description/ name too as they are casual cotton trousers - not as casual as combats but not really smart. An old favourite which has changed for the worse."

"We returned this item, appeared a bit bland and not worth the money. The fabric looked as though it would lose it's shape and colour quite quickly. The 'smart jean' appealed but in fact we felt that a good dark denim jean would be better.

"We were very disappointed with the quality of these jeans for the price. I purchased these "smart jeans" for my husband to wear for work, but unfortunately we both felt they lacked the quality we were looking for."

"I keep coming back to Boden for quality, comfort and service. However, on this occasion I've been let down. After a press, wash and iron the crease in the back of one leg, which went unnoticed on arrival, is still there. Having had them altered I don't rate my chances of getting any type of exchange sorted out. Please feel free to contact me if you know of a remedy,
