The uncompromising practicality of this jacket makes it one of my personal favourites. I know I can throw it on anytime and it will look good.

"I bought the sand cord jacket online - 42R - perfect fit other than the arms which came down below my knuckles ! I'm 5' 10" with a 34' to 35' cuff length, but this cut so strangely out of proportion. I took it back to the store in Park Royal and tried on a 40R and a 38" both of which had the same daft sleeve length. Apart from that ( and some large imperfections in the weave) I did love the jacket. I'm really disappointed not to be able to buy a another one."

"Received this jacket in blue for a birthday present from my wife in size 44" (my normal size) but the jacket was much to big so exchanged for a 42" however, this did not fit either as the shoulders and sleeves were far too long - unusual for me as I am 6' plus. Also, the jacket was shapeless and the material of poor quality. Sadly disappointing - the best bit about this jacket was the interior lining!"

"Bought two of these - green and brown, both 40 regular. The green is spot on but the brown is way too long in the arms. Cannot believe these are really the same size. Thought about exchanging for 38 but decided to keep anyway. Why are Boden jackets so long? or why no short option?"

"My partner wanted this, and I said he had enough jackets, but gave in. It is fantastic - a real bridge between smart and casual - makes a pair of jeans really look a bit dressed up, but no stiffness or formality. And the floral lining is a laugh. ps he is 85."

"I have great difficulty finding a jacket that a good fit, being tall, slim with long arms. This jacket is a superb fit, better than some made to measure jackets. But it not to big in the body and has a great lining..I also like the fact that you can wear it with just about anything..smart or casual. A great effort...please don't shorten the sleeves!"

"My partner is a great lover of Boden cord jackets, every autumn one arrives and the old one is demoted to gardening wear, but this year's was truly dreadful - not at all what I expect from Boden! Not only did it have sleeves of tremendous length (might look good on a two-armed squid), but the stitching was caught and one shoulder had a very peculiar seam. Odd fit too. Must try harder...."

"iI had been looking for a smart navy casual pinstripe jacket ,when hey presto Boden came along with just what I wanted.Its great with jeans and can be dressed up to look posh with the right shirt. "There was no room or flexibility in the upper arms. Pockets were in the wrong position. The jacket was not comfortable in any way, even through it was the correct size. It was a strange cut and felt like a throw-away jacket (as opposed to throw-on)!"
