"I didn't know how much I would like this as the pattern is not what I would normally choose but the price was too good to pass by. So pleased I ordered it, looks great, fits true to size, and does not need ironing! Although on the picture the velvet trim is pink and on the shirt I received the velvet trim is brown."

"This blouse is pretty and does not need ironing which is always a bonus, it's good for work or goes nicely with jeans. I'm a busty size 12 and the 12 fits nicely."

"I was glad that this was available in single sizes because I fall between the Boden Small and Medium sizes. I bought a 12 in the etched orchid print(brown and pink) in the sale, to wear with the lilac mooching trousers and they go together really nicely.
Not my usual choice of shirt because it's a bit full in the tummy/hips (I wear an 8/10 in trousers), but I was pleased that it hangs nicely and doesn't seem to puff out at the front."

"I liked the fabric and print but the fit was too small on me and I bought the largest size left on sale (medium?). The style is a bit ackward in that it is 'full' at the waist and that is difficult for a lot of women, or not flattering."

"I bought this in the sale and it is an absolute bargain. Looks much better than it does in the picture eg worried it might be shapeless but the crinkle material makes it fit to your shape (I did size down after reading other comments though)."

"My favourite Boden womenswear item in recent seasons, these tops are fab! I have two - the pink small flower one and the green larger flower. I can not decide which is the nicest - they are both lovely and flattering prints.

The pink is exactly as depicted on website, while I found the green floral one to be less dull than I expected, and very fresh and wearable. The prints are lovely and vibrant even after washing lots. The tops wash great, and crinkle very well - Boden quality at its best! The fabric is medium-weight, so perfect for cross-season wearing.

The fit is great - ithey are neither baggy nor too fitted, but loosely draped and very wearable! They do have some extra fabric around the underarm and on the front below the velvet trim, which might not suit some people. (I am size 8, 5'6", medium chest). I prefer it with only 2-3 buttons fastened at the neck, and the cuffs unbuttoned.

I can see why this top is not for everyone, but if you like the look of it on the model, then I would recommend you give it a try - I have found them indispensible!

{p.s. I only gave 4* for value based on the original price - the sale price is an absolute steal for such fab quality and style!)"

"I bought this because the price was so good in the sale I figured I couldn't go wrong! Turns out it's a very nice top -- given the reviews, I was a little concerned about sizing, but I ordered my usual size 14 and it is perfect and a very nice weight for spring. The only slight fit issue is it does "puff" out at the stomach at times while I wear it but this doesn't bother me much. I got it in the orchid floral and the colors are great -- sometimes I have trouble with bigger prints but because this has an understated brown background it works great and I love the crinkle effect."

"I like this shirt. I can understand the frumpiness that I read in other reviews, but I found it looks nice with a camisole underneath and all of the buttons unbuttoned (don't forget the camisole!). I paired it with the Long Fun Skirt and received many compliments."

"I love this shirt. I got the blue color -- had to get a size smaller than usual b/c fit large. Others have commented that it's sort of an old lady print, but that's what I love about it. Very nice at $20, would not pay full price for it."

"This shirt is lovely fabric but a really strange shape at neck/opening. It gapes and pulls up when you move your arms. Tried a bigger size but the same happens and it just looks baggy."

"I bought this on sale in the green and loved the look of it. I bought it in size 12, am normally a 10 US because of my swimmers shoulders. The little velvet line hit just under the bust like it should and will be wearing it tomorrow to school (am a school teacher!)"

"I bought a size 14 orchard etched floral version of this shirt in the sale, It is well made and pretty, and I like the crinkle effect. I've worn the shirt a couple of times, but more often than not, I put it on and then change again.

The problem is that it doesn't hang well, and seems to bunch up over my tummy, and looks frumpy. I've tried wearing it with a belt, but as it is gathered under the bust, it never looks quite right."

"I just received this top in the Post - I really wanted to like it, because I'll be travelling in May and wanted something that didn't wrinkle in the suitcase!

I'm 5'2" tall, and normally wear an 8 in Boden. That being said, this is the first thing I've ordered that is not a stretchy material like a sweater, so maybe I should be a 10 in woven items. I got the pink and brown - very happy print, nice detail - but I have a long neck and the little mandarin collar wasn't high enough for me. It was too tight - mostly in the hip area - but this is probably because I'm short and a taller person might not have this issue. The material is very stiff (like it has been starched), but I'm assuming that it softens up with washing. It's a great value at the sale price, too!

Too bad for me - but sadly, it has to go back."

"This is one of those Boden tops that you put on when it arrives and keep it on all day. My husband made rude comments about it when I took it out of the bag but once on now keeps saying how great it is! I got the green/brown and it is so flattering and versatile - I'm 5ft 3, size 12 and it looks great with slim jeans and heels. I also feel it is a real season cross over top - can be worn in the winter with a cardi and is also fine for spring and summer. As other reviewers have said, it does ride up a bit and has to be adjusted a fair amount but that doesn't distract from it's general fabness!"

"I am now a real convert to Boden's crinkle tops and dresses following the purchase of a dress in last year's sale. This top has not let me down. I purchased a size 20 -- true to size and fits over my very ample bosom. I read the reviews and yes it does ride up a little when I move around hence the "4" rating for fit but this is not a great problem. At the sale price it is a fantastic purchase and it's a shame that there are no more left in stock as I would have considered buying another"

"I ordered this in the sale which represents good value, but the original price is too steep!
I'm a 10/12 and ordered a 10 and a 12 in the lawn etched floral, the 10 was a better fitted look and slimming too, however the print is quite lovely but a little too old for me, so they were returned....a more funky print would have been a keeper for sure as the fit was great."

"I ordered the Orchid Floral size 8R (normal size for me in Boden tops). The print is really lovely. Sadly it looks very strange on me. I am petite (5'2) and the velvet decoration which should fall under the chest was at level with my belly button! I will have to return it. For an average height woman ths shirt could be perfect."
