"I was delighted to find this top in the sale, having looked at it longingly in the catalogue for some time. I have the purple version, and the detailing is far more lovely than I expected - the velvet ribbon under the bust and embroidered flowers give it a real sense of quality. The fabric is, however, quite thin, and dealing with it after a wash is a bit tricky - hard to iron! The style also won't suit everyone - I am reasonably large chested (size 14, 34D) and it fits me very well, without gaping too much, but I imagine other people will want to wear a cami underneath."

"My artisan shirts arrived today in both the purple and blue. While they looked lovely in the package in terms of vibrant colors and quality tailoring, they fit me terribly as they run VERY fitted. I am a size 12 US and am short and curvy. Usually, I fit very well into Boden 14 UK or 16 UK. Both of these shirts I got in a 16 UK and while they are loose in the bust (and I am larger busted), they gape in the shoulders and are extremely fitted in my belly area, cutting a very unflattering silhouette for my petite, curvy frame. Unfortunately, I am going to have to return them both. I am disappointed as the colors are lovely, the style is unique and the tailoring is sharp. The shirt might be ok for someone who is very narrow waisted through the hips, with a flat stomach and very ample chest."

"This top fits me really well but is snug for Boden on the bust so you may need to upsize. Really like the style and the length (not too short). I have the khaki one and it's a lovely colour"

"I bought the navy top in a 14 and it is very tight across the chest and shoulders but the waist fits. I ordered the next size up, I hope it fits better and doesn't look too boxy."

"This is a good top for smart/casual and it looks good with jeans or trousers. I got the green which is a lovley colour and got a compliment the first time I wore it. I normally wear a size 12 and this came up slightly slimmer than some other Boden tops, but for me this was perfect."

"I loved the look of this top that I ordered two, but both have had to go back. I am a size 12 and like other reviews I found it snug around the middle and gaping on the bust that it would have needed a cami to be decent. Such a shame as I loved the designs and could have quite easily have bought all four."

"After reading several reviews of this top I decided to order a size up. I wish I hadn't! It was too big. That's the one bummer about ordering on-line, paying for the returns! I may not exchange as this top looks a little more dressy on-line, but it's really a casual top. I ordered the khaki with red. I also felt the price was high for an everyday shirt, I was expecting something a bit different."

"Really lovely top - I had the summer version with the scallops around the bottom so was excited when this came out! But as before, it isn't true to size - ordered a 14 but was really snug on my tummy but perfect on my bust - have exchanged for a 16 which is a little large on the bust but generally a good fit - always a 14 in Boden tops except this one!!"

"This is such a pretty top, and the embroidery detail on the purple colour I ordered is lovely.
However it's a pity, but for me the fit is too tight around my middle, but fits perfectly on bust. Could not therefore size up.Usually size 12 tops are fine, so I was sorry to return"

"This is a nice-fitting and unusual top.
For tops I wear a US size 4 generally (and being a 34C, sometimes a 6, depending on how things fit across the bust) and I find that it (hooray!) has enough room in the bust. It also has plenty of coverage, so no need for a cami underneath.
All in all it was a good purchase. And it will be nice not to see any clones or near-clones of this top on others."

"A very nice and beautiful top with a really good quality. But there is a BUT for me, because it seems that I am an inbetween size-wearer: normally 8 but in this case too small. 10 is too big, I was so sad about it. Tried it yesterday but have to send it back. So, here is my tip: Please collect size experiences from other customers."
