"I ordered two sizes: UK 8 + 10 in the brown since I had read about sizing difficulties. I am a petite US size 2-4 on top. The 8 fits me perfectly: arm length just right, chest not too roomy and length perfect for a short (5' 2") frame. Love the color, stitching and perky yellow lining. My first purchase from Boden but it won't be my last!"

"I ordered these jackets from Australia and received them in 4 days!! Great service from Boden as usual - I did live in the UK so was aware of how Boden clothes fit me. I bought 2 of these jackets in the sale and as usual Boden jackets fit wonderfully and I am delighted with the fit, colour and cut. Wonderful service and quality. Thanks."

"I bought this blazer in the sale so the quality was excellent for the price. It's beautifully lined and I love the stitching detail around the cuffs & on the collar. I found the fit neither too big nor too tight and the sleeve length was perfect. I can get a lightweight jumper underneath it and it's perfect in the spring/autumn as a jacket. I bought it in the purple colour and loads of people have asked me where I bought it from. Luckily for me they're all sold out otherwise several of my friends would have bought it too!"

"I felt compelled to write a review as reading others' reviews made me go for this jacket. I bought a 10 in the walnut and it is gorgeous. I'm wearing it now and it's beautiful. It's a great fit and lovely quality. (I'm usually a 10 so didn't have to size up like some have said). I know I'll get loads of wear out of it. I've bought plenty of Boden clothes before but so far this is the best piece - and since it was in the sale, Im even happier! Thanks Boden ."

"i got my blazer in the mail today. couldn't wait to open it up and try it on. once on, i was transformed. i looked a little bit more businesslike (was wearing slacks that day). im sure it will go just as well with jeans and khaki. the fit is PERFECT on me. i've read other reviews and could not find a thing wrong with the jacket. perhaps it is because i am a petite, 5'2, 110lbs person. i was debating on whether i should order a size 8 or 10 UK size. went with a 10 and it's perfect on me. i can wear it with a thin sweater under or a tshirt. very versatile. i have a rather long torso so this jacket creates an illusion of a short torso. the vintage look works for me.. i love, love, love this blazer! *thinking of getting another one in a different color, let's see how many are left*"

"Loved the look of this jacket, but am obviously not the right body shape! Am 5'8' and size 10. Body of jacket fitted ok but too short in body and arms. made bum look HUGE as flared out over my worst feature. Sure it would suit others but not for me - longer line jackets please!"

"What can I say? Gorgeous plush fabric, comfortable fit, wonderful attention to detail with the stitching, is my constant companion in winter! True to size, I usually wear 14 and this 14 gives some room under for a jumper."

"I absolutely LOVE this jacket! I'm 5'4" and a size 8. I originally ordered a size 8 in the Green and a 10 in the Dusty blue hoping to keep the jacket that fit best. The Green fit beautifully but looked a bit battered and would fit with a t-shirt or shirt underneath and at the time it was snowing so the size 10 seemed the better option! I ended up keeping the blue and wear it all the time. In fact I've worn it to a wedding with a skirt and for the school run with jeans - Very versatile! In fact I love it so much I went on to buy the Prune too which is just scrummy. To be honest with you I think the original price of £69 is very good value when you take the quality into consideration so the sale price is out of this world! I Think I'm going to have to get the Labrador and the Berry Crush now too just for a full set... I can see these jackets being staple in my wardrobe attire for the next wee while! Thank you Boden! Keep the great clothes and the great prices coming!"

"I ordered the brown and the purple because they were on sale. Size 10 & 12 were the options I had available. They both fit nicely. The quality is very good and am glad to have them. I think they look great with jeans or a trouser. You cant go wrong here."

"This is such a great jacket for this time of year - much more classy than a cardigan so if you haven't got one yet do so as this is good value in the sale, no, I am not on commison but open to offers! Seriously I liked this so much ordered a few colours and have been complimented both at work and at play."

"THe jacket was great material but unfortunately the 'cut' just didn't suit. As other reviews have mentioned the arms are very wide which detracts from the 'trendiness' of the jacket. Shame really ! Had to be returned"

"Lovely little jacket, terrific for popping over dresses ( in plum it goes perfectly over the hotchpotch blackberry dress) . I worried about buying this because of the reviews, but the fit is excellent, and in my usual Boden 10 it fits me perfectly , isn't remotely shapeless, and the sleeves aren't baggy at all on me, and I'm a skiinny 5'5"! I'm not entirely convinced about the edge stitching, but it doesn't annoy me -I just think something simpler would have looked better. Generally a classy, very useful little adddition to my wardrobe & ideal for this changeable weather!"

"I ended up buying four of these in the sale as they are such good value for money. However, I had to send them back several times to get one that fitted well as the sizing varied so much. I ended up with a 16 in the black and 14s in the brown, pink and purple. They are on the small side and as I am busty (36E) I would recommend that you size up. Well worth the money, very versatile and they can be dressed up or down, great investment buy."

"This jacket had great reviews so I ordered it in both purple and brown, the purple in both an 8 and 10 just to compare sizes, the brown in an 8. I'm 5'6'' and usually a size 8. I particularly love the purple which is a lovely warm plum colour, but the brown is great too and the yellow lining has grown on me. The brown would certainly be a great all year round colour. I love the tailored fit. The 8 is perfect for me but the 10 allows an extra jumper underneath but certainly doesn't look too big and I would certainly have kept the 10 if the 8 wasn't available. I have slim not skinny arms and I'm very happy with the arm fit, you can easily bend your elbows without creasing and spoiling the fabric. The fabric is a lovely thick moleskin type velvet, very tactile! The stitch detail makes this jacket a bit different from what you see in the shops and I love it. It's a Fab Jacket at a great sale price and I would highly recommend it."

"I took a chance on this in the sale and am ever SO glad I did. I was worried reading the reviews that I would receive a tan, wide-sleeved weirdly fitting jacket instead of the beautiful, brown, lovely cut little number that arrived. I'm 34 B, 110#, slim 5'7", and the 8R walnut is gorgeous!!! I can't believe there are any remaining. The velvet is thicker than that of the hoops skirt from the winter season, the brown is a rich true brown that will be a great neutral with jeans. The fit is what makes the jacket though, it's hip because of the shorter length - makes it more current. Will look fab with long jeans. I could see that if you were any taller it might be odd unless you had a short torso. The sleeves are a bit loose but nothing I would think of altering, makes it easier to bend the elbows. And the yellow lining is so cheery. Only docked points because there are a few loose seams showing at the liner near the sleeve seam, and also because I don't love the top stitching that fades to white - kind of Austin Powersy. And finally, because the full price is too much, even for a beautiful little jacket which I love too much to send back for the small details aforementioned. I also find some of the other colors a bit odd. How do you wear a powder blue velvet jacket? Please share!"

"Oh, I just love the Boden velvety things. I have some from previous seasons and like before could not resist these blazers. I bought the blue and the green for my self and the blue and the brown as presents for friends.
One friend said she likes the ´fact that it gives you this cosy - hugged feeling and at the same time looks very stylish.
The jackets were bought in the sizes 8, 10 and12 and all fitted very well and true to size, if anything they could be a tad smaller around the belly.
Please Boden keep doing them !! and in colours I have not got yet. :) :)"

"I just received the blue and purple blazers and they are fabulous! I ordered one size down (8R)because of reviews and it fits great. My plan was to return at least one since I have been spending too much on Boden, but I will have to keep them both. For a casual look with jeans or a more dressy outfit with skirts or dresses. Love them!"

"I originally purchased the prune and then came back for the blue. Can't beat the sale price! I am short, 5', so the sleeves had to be taken up a lot! Therefore losing the lovely stiching on the sleeves. The upper arms are a bit baggy, but the body fits fine. I am usually a 10 or a 12, and went for the 12 in this one. Will keep both as the colors and linings are gorgeous. But there is just something slightly off about the design."

"Beautiful jacket in the green - fantastic fit in 12 (I am a 12/14 on top) lovely little stitching finishes, beautiful colour!

Over all great jacket, original price was probably a bit much, but the sale price is a silly bargain which should BE SNAPPED UP STRAIGHT AWAY!!"
