"I bought this in green, size 14. I am an hourglass shape and 12-14 in the High street

The fit of the jacket was very boxy though a 12 would have been too tight across the bust. The fabric weave was very open and I feared it would bobble quickly.

Worst of all was the scary magenta lining and the rainbow coloured ribbon running round the inside. I love bright linings but this colour combo would limit the combinations in which I could wear this jacket with other clothes in my wardrobe. I returned it the same day it arrived - sorry!"

"I chose this as my birthday present from my husband. As it is a wool jacket I only started wearing it in the last month. It looks gorgeous on and it is so cosy - I got in in the green. Unfortunately, after wearing it just 3 times, the wool has piled under the arm and sides of jacket where your arm rubs. I am so disappointed as I love this jacket and thought I would get at least a couple of winters from it.
I am returning it and am still looking for a similar jacket that wears well."

"This was the one thing I really wanted when I got my Autumn catalogue back in the summer, as it was quite an expensive item I put off ordering it and was then futher delayed by other people's reviews. Despite this I decided to make my own decision and feel that the sleeves are a bit narrow and the cut makes me look flat cheasted. I love the fabric, (though it's thicker and warmer than I'd thought it would be - more of an outside jacket rather than smart meeting jacket) the colour and length are great but on balance it's going back in the bag."

"I loved this jacket in the catalogue and decided to gofor green. i was not disappointed and just love the amazing lining! It has been admired by many when I've worn it. So warm on cold days, too.
Only complaint is (as many have found) the bobbling which I did not expect on an item at this price."

"When I first received my jacket (the bright green one) I loved it - I still do in that I feel smart and 'current!'
I have worn it perhaps half a dozen times BUT now the pilling around the sleeve cuffs is becomiong evident. At first I thought that it might be just my jacket until I read some of the other reviews and realised that it is clearly a problem with the material itself. Is it just the green one? Or does this happen on the other colours as well. I hope you will look into this further because its a shame. I love Boden because I am able to find clothes that look good even on me - one of the more 'mature' customers!"

"Pilling is a great problem already although I've worn it very little. The sleeve lining was too long and I've had it altered but it fits well otherwise and looks good from a distance!"

"This jacket is just too cute! The weave makes it a year-round wear. The lining is so cute; you will be tempted to wear it inside out! I bought two and wish I had the black as well!"

"I loved the look of this too and get lots of compliments on the colour when I wear it. I agree that it is a bit too short and could do with more fit. However, the worst disappointment for me is the pilling. I've barely got time to shave my legs let alone spend precious minutes shaving my jacket! Is it not possible to find material that doesn't suffer from this problem? Your clothes are not cheap and yet, having worn this jacket about four times now, it looks like something I've just bought from H&M!"

"I have to agree with other reviews, that this jacket isn't fitted enough. It's also too short, and just lacks the elegance that a slightly longer more fitted blazer offers. Sorry Boden, but I'm returning it."

"This one is named correctly--it is a very chic fit. Like a lot of the reviewers, I usually like a longer jacket--just two or three inches makes a huge difference, but this jacket is just plain cute. I got the navy, and I wish I looked good in that color of green--I'd get another.
The wool is soft and loosely woven, which is probably why there are so many complaints of pills. Mine hasn't started balling up yet, but a sweater stone or disposable razor (lightly used!) will keep it looking sharp.
For me, the shorter cut will mean I wear it mostly with skirts and dresses, but it looks wonderful. I originally ordered the UK size 14 judging from the sizing information, but Boden sent the wrong jacket, so when I returned it, I requested the 12, and it fits nicely. I have ordered 8 items from Boden this fall, and two of them fit smaller than the other items in the same size (I am not talking about two items identical except for color, though.). I have to agree that the arms are on the skimpy side, but I am tall and my arms are thin, so for me, it is a great fit.
I have to say I am delighted by this jacket. I had to wait a while for it, but seldom am I so pleased with a purchase. The jacket is very well made and the cut is wonderful."

"This jacket is just so nice. I have a bit of a bust and am quite small around the back so its difficult to find things that fit me properly. This does without looking like I am going to bust out. Arm length is great as so many times they are far too long on me. Very pleased with my purchase!"

"After originally ordering a 12 (my normal size) and finding it big and the lining not sitting correctly, I reordered a 10. This time the lining was fine and the fit a little better BUT it could do nothing to hide the fact this jacket does not have much shape to it. It is as others say rather boxy and therefore does not do much to accentuate a womans figure. I also found it a touch short in length and I'm only 5'4". The material was thick and I thought too thick for the style of the jacket. BODEN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tailor some of you items a touch more and please review the length of some of your jackets - a continuous problem over a few years now of loving them on-line but being let down by those very things in person. This jacket is no way near a good fit as shown on the model on line, where it looks more tapered in at the waist and not as bulky."

"I love this jacket! I bought to wear with jeans or to go with work clothes and it is great with both. Like a lot of Boden clothing it works with both casual and smart clothes. I bought the green and it is a real head turner. The bright pink lining also dares you to be brave and wear bright colours that you may have thought would clash. The only downside is the bobbling - it becomes tatty VERY quickly. However, help is at hand....buy a JML Bobbleoff! Only £4.95 and the jacket is like new! I used it on all my bobbly knitwear and they are transformed. Boden should mention that wool will bobble in the description and also recommend that it will need de-bobbling on a regular basis to keep the jacket looking as new."

"The jacket is superb. I am a size 8 and it fits well in that it is loose and boxy which is what I wanted but the arms are neat which is also great. It is short, smart and thick - warm for the winter! I was disappointed by the way it arrived - creased and dreadful to sort out. Not the usual I expect from Boden. The fabric is a loose weave and no doubt will require to be carefully cared for."

"Being a US size 4 (sometimes 6 depending on fit across bust) I ordered a 10. The jacket was HUGE! As another reviewer said, it looked like 2 of me could have fit in there. Buttoned up it looked especially awful. It fit across the shoulders okay but could use some tailoring everywhere else -- particularly through the waist area. It was also somewhat itchy (wool tends to feel itchy to me anyway).

On the plus side, it was nice and heavy -- I had purchased it for days I didn't feel like wearing a coat and wouldn't be outside much (and not raining beyond a light drizzle) and it would have fit the bill nicely. However, since it did absolutely nothing for me, back it went."

"love the style and adore the colour,
i've worn this jacket approx 3 weeks and it has lots of pilling round the chest and arms, even on my back, because i leave it on to drive in the car.
I will have to use one of those wool combs.
Otherwise it certainly is a headturner..."

"Brought this jacket for work and it is bobbling so much already - is there anything that you can do to stop this or make it look smarter? I love the fit and the lining however after about 5 outings it is looking more like 50!"
