"I Love this Skirt, didn't think it would fit well but it is perfect and extremely flattering. The detail is superb and my other half refers to it as the equivalent of wearing trousers as a skirt. I'm buying a size 14 in other Boden skirts at the moment to accommodate a little extra weight around the middle but in this skirt the 12 is perfect. This will get a lot of wear and had I discovered it earlier would have one in every colour. This along with the Chic Skirt are my new favourite Boden skirt shapes. I hope to see more of this style - with pockets - can't say enough about how great the pockets were in general in this seasons skirts - keep up the good work."

"I agree with the last reviewer - its is a fab skirt BUT why such a short zip? I do not have big hips I am a regular size 10 but I did have to take a sharp in take of breadth to get the skirt over my hips ! The waist band on the other hand is generous - fine if you are prone to large lunches or fluid retention! An extra few centimetres in zip length and a slightly narrower waist would be better BUT its still a nice skirt and I'm keeping it"

"Okay - love this skirt in general but WHAT is with the length of the zip??? I bought a UK 8 and when I finally figured out how to get it ON I thought the fit was great - very flattering, made me look like the model... BUT I couldn't step into the skirt to put it on, and getting it over my head was also not simple. My husband had to help me to get out of it. Since the waist when it is on, is in fact a bit on the roomy side, and the hips are a great fit, WHY did Boden decide to put a 2 inch zip in it? They did this with trousers a couple of years ago too - v v annoying!
Other than that, it's great!"

"Flattering fit, sits well. Comes to just below the knee. Very roomy throughout the skirt so the kick pleat is almost unnecessary. I think I'll probably order another in black. Dark grey is nice but probably browner than I expected."

"I am 5ft 4in and fairly slender. I ordered the shorter length skirt as usual but unlike on the model the skirt sat above my knees. The cut was bulky around the middle and made me look as though I have an enormous tum (I don't) . Although this looks good off and the fabric is great the cut really does niot flatter."

"This is just a great fitting skirt in a never-go-out-of-style cut. It is wool, yet fully lined. The sizing is true so rest easy about ordering. I love the quality of the fabric and stitching."

"This indeed looks smart and sassy--on the model. I was hoping for more of an early 60s pencil skirt feel, but the drape just hangs, even flares. I think on a stick thin model body it has a more slender appearance, but on a curvy person, looks weird and sloppy. Too bad. Fabric is lovely and seems well made."

"I am very hard to fit for pants/ skirts as my waist is small and hips large. I have learned that I just have to try things on to see if they work - usually they don't. This skirt not only fits but provides a very nice shape with it's gentle A line. It is also very stylish looking from the front, side, and back."

"This is a beautifullly made skirt. The detail in the sewing is amazing. I was unaware of the regular or long option. Usually to me "long" means cut for a taller person vs two lengths to choose from. I am 5'4" and would have chosen the longer version because I am 55 and like my skirts age appropriate. I will try it on one more time to see if I can wear this regular length."

"I should have taken more notice of the previous reviews as they were spot on. This skirt looked lovely from the front and ftted really well, however, from the back it made me look dumpy and frumpy. The A-line shape did me no favours - a straight cut would have been much more flattering. I was very disappointed and will be much more cautious in buying skirts from Boden in the future."

"It's hard for me to criticise Boden for much, but this skirt is a disaster. It's an apalling cut and unless you are stick thin it will do nothing to flatter you from the waist down I'm afraid. Beautiful quality as always, but a horrible cut. It would have been much better as a pencil skirt. Sorry Boden - you got the only smart skirt I could find in this seasons collection for work so wrong."

"This is a rarity for Boden: a skirt that is unflattering. I have around ten Boden skirts in my closet, both summer and winter, and this one, to my total surprise, is a miss. The fit is off both on the waist and the hips, and the overall shape of the skirt, at least on me, is sloppy. Too bad because the fabric is very nice; I especially liked the contrasting pinstripes. On the model, it looks very sleek and fitted but I found it to be the opposite in real life. Sorry! Would like to see this again, same fabric but different cut."

"The material on the skirt is top notch, but the fit itsn't that great.It hangs funny. It might be the pockets on the side. It just gives some added bulk and no one needs that on their hips. Unfortunantly this one is going to go back"

"This skirt looks great from the front, nicely tailored, but look at the back and its a strange A-line shape and doesn't seem to hang properly. Nice winter weight fabric and nicely finished off."
