"I have two of these skirts in different patterns - the black woodland print is particularly good looking. I'm 5'4" and the length in regular is perfect for me, just on the knee. However the zip burst on the black skirt. As I'm petite, my clothing is not put under any strain, so I assumed the zip was faulty. Boden quickly sent me a new skirt, but the replacement broke as well. I ended up taking it to a tailoring service who put in a stronger zip."

"I love these skirts, I now have two - the green and the blue. The fabric drapes beautiully, although it does stick to my tights when I wear them in winter! The skirts also wash really well. The only gripe I have is that I am 5ft in height and have to roll the skirt up at the waist. Some petite length skirts please Johnny!"

"i got my skirt today and tried it on. the waist fits me perfectly. the length, however, is a tad too long for me. perhaps it is because i'm a petite? i do love the ift though and will keep it. i'm going to just fold the top portion of the waist a little to raise the skirt up. i love Boden style in everything except pants and skirts. "I have just bought this skirt in the sale, in black. The photos on the website really don't do it justice as in reality it looks a lot better and much more interesting. The print is beautiful, the crinkly texture and pockets make it less formal and quite unique. The shape is more of a gentle A-line and not as full as it looks in the photo. I am 5'7", 8st and size 8R is knee length and a perfect fit. The material is quite lightweight (not sure why this was part of the winter collection) so will be great for spring and summer."

"I purchased two intending to send one back, but kept both! First, appearance: pretty full but not ballooning crinkly cotton skirts that will be feminine and flirty for spring/summer but still serious enough for work. The regular length was fine, came to my knees, and I'm 5'7". The long length was fine too, came 1" below my knees. I actually like the shape of the regular better, its' cuter. The colors are good, the teal is a bit darker than I thought, I may wear it with a black top as opposed to a white top. The blue will be easy to match with white, yellow or gray. I like the crinkles, not sure how I will get them to reappear after I wash. It's true they don't exactly match with the pleats, but the skirt's fullness makes it ok. Second: fit. Real reason I am keeping two! I'm a slender 110#, US size 0 in bottoms, 25" waist, 33" hips, can NEVER wear Boden bottoms, but this fit ok. I bit droopy at the waist but it works. Hopefully it will shrink in the laundry, which is the last great bit - cotton lining at the sale price, and 100% practical cotton makes this skirt suitable for lots of occasions and will wash easily. I plan to wear it a lot! It is too thin for winter though, don't know how the other ladies are getting by. In short, at this price, scoop it up! I would buy another, but there are really only two prints."

"I have this skirt in the navy, size 12, and have worn it through the summer and now am wearing it with navy and black tops in the winter with black or navy tights. It is excellent for an everyday casual skirt, very comfortable and attractive. I am 5'6" and like the 12R length, which I wear with tights and dansko clogs. Very nice quality for the price, lined. When it went on sale, I bought 2 more in the navy, that is how much I like this skirt and love the navy pattern. Hope to see this style/cut in the future in more navy patterns. Good year-round skirt for milder climates."

"I bought this skirt a few weeks ago and it has become one of my favourites. I bought the dark green style and it is perfect for winter days with thick black tights and a black top, and i imagine it will be great in the summer also! I am a size 14-16 in most places and the 14 fits me fine. After reading other reviews I decided to buy the longer length and this was the right decision: the skirt ends just below my knees. The lining is also green and provides much warmth!"

"I wasn't sure about this skirt when I ordered it but it has turned out to be my best buy of the autumn if you go by how many times I have worn it. It is quite thin material but that is just fine in modern overheated workplaces. I have the peacock floral and it is a truly good print and colour. I work in a school and it has been much admired by the sixthformers!"

"I bought this skirt in the blue and do really like it, especially the pockets. But for the price I must agree that the material is rather thin, and I don't really think it is designed for colder weather with tights. I was expecting a thicker material from the catalogue product description, and for the price. The lining does ride up terribly when you wear it with tights. The fit is generous for a size 10, but that is fine I suppose if you are wearing winter under clothes."

"This is so disappointing - described as full in the catalogue but is cut so skimpy it just looks cheap and the "pleats" don't even have enough fabric to hang down. There's a weirdly deep hem, however, presumably to give weight to the flimsy fabric. I've often had to question Boden sizing - I'm a standard 12 everywhere else - and this skirt is no exception. I'm so fed up with opening my orders with excited anticipation and then being disappointed, I'm giving up on Boden for the time being. Bring back quality!"

"I am delighted with this skirt. I ordered 2 -one in black/ brown and one in the peacock and am going ot keep both. The fabric is eycatching but also practical and should wear well.The fit is really good- (I ordered 10L)sometimes I find the waist of Boden skirts too large but this is exactly right. It is a much more attractive and stylish skirt than the picture shows which makes it look rather frumpish and shapeless! Looks very nice with knee length boots."

"I made the mistake when buying this skirt of not checking the length, consequently the regular length is a little too short for my liking. The sizing I felt was also small around the waist but that's not uncommon with Boden for me. Overall this is a beautiful skirt and as another reviewer noted looks so much better in real life than the picture shows. Just be sure to check the length before ordering!"
