"Very pleased with this dress. I normally take size 8 and ordered an 8 and it fitted very well. Sleeves are very flattering, but the front is too low - I will either sew a little bit up or wear with a broach. Material very clingy, but when worn with a slip it's fine.
Bargain for £30!"

"I am a 6 in US, so I ordered this dress in a 10..

I have spent the last several years searching for the perfect black dress for work. I was so excited to see this offering on Boden at such a fantastic price. But, alas, it was a little low in the front and a litle long. The material is also a tad clingy. I would recommend this dress for someone looking for a dinner/show ensemble, but it's a little too sexy for my workplace."

"Lovely dress, ordered in size 10 purple (normally 10 -12). lovely dress, good fit and nice fabric but too low cut for me and a cami spoils the look making it look frumpy. I even tried with a yellow and red cami to see if i could achieve that modern 'clash' look. No luck, sadly back to boden this one."

"This dress is very flattering, hides the bumps, and works on a shorter woman (I'm 5' 2"). Neckline and bell sleeves are very flattering. My only complaint is that I wish there were a size between 8 and 10, as there is a big difference between the two. I normally take wear size 2-4 US and I settled on one dress in 8 and one in 10. The purple is particularly attractive."

"this dress is just perfect. Fantastic fit, the material is nice, soft and light (can wear all year 'round ...and I will!) I have just received it and got on the website trying to get another in a different colour, unfortunately but understendably it is sold out in every other. I bought it in the sale for £30 ...what a bargain!"

"I am a curvy size 16/18 and this dress fits in all the right places and skims all the wrong places if you know what I mean! It's a little low at the front but I wear a camisole underneath or use a little silver pin to secure it."

"I'm a big fan of Boden jersey dresses but this one was just a bit ordinary for me. It was brown(8R) and perfectly nice and fitted well, however if you want to cover your tummy area I wouldn't order this one as it will show every wibbly bit!! The sale price is great so if you want something smart and simple for the office then give it a go. For me I do have more striking jersey dresses so I've returned this one."

"I am quite new to Boden and I so wanted to try a dress, but when I had a look at the sale page (I think Boden dresses a bit pricey if bought full price) the colours I liked (violet and red) where all gone, then last weekend this came out again in my size 8R in violet and I couldn't resist! Today arrived and I am so pleased with everything in it: lenght - I am not so tall and I normally find dresses way too long for me, maybe it could have been just a tiny bit shorter, but I love it as it is - softness of the fabric, cut. i think it's a very feminine dress suitable for everyday wear or for an evening out, this season or in summer!"

"I ordered this in the brown leaf design in a 10L. I'm normally a 8 up top and 10-12 below. It's such a beautiful cut and most of all I love the length. It's so hard to find longer length dresses and this fit the bill. It even manages not to show off my tummy, a big thumbs up. The material is lovely and I have no complaints."

"I ordered this dress in black and purple and absolutely adored them, so kept them both!
The dress is a very flattering fit and has the versatility to be worn for work or play.
I find it very slimming (I'm a 12 and ned all the help I can get) and I think it's the perfect shape for most women."

"I ordered this dress in my ususl size 14 and found this dress to be true to size. I didn't find the dress to be too small - I do have a generous bust and found the size 14l a perfect fit.
Yes, the dress will cling to your shape - but it is jersey and it is intended to be a form fitting dress. With Spanx underwear, there is no problem.
I ordered the red at the sale price and believe that it is excellent value for money - I will buy another if more become available"

"This is a lovely dress and I bought it in the purple and red. I am a size 10 and found that the dress was very fitted and neatly cut for my (small) height. The material is quite thin which means you can wear in winter with boots or spring/summer with sandals.

The neckline is fairly low cut so some ladies may like to layer with a camisole so save any blushes.

The only disappointment was the price - I was fortunate enough to get both dresses in the sale at £30 each, I would not be happy paying £75 for this dress."

"I bought this in the plain black and I love it - nice fit, nice fabric and great sleeves. I do agree with an earlier reviewer who said she would have preferred a slightly shorter length; but then I'm only 5'4"!"

"I got the dress in purple. It's a deep, neutral shade of purple with a modern, youthful pattern that's not bold, but subtle. The fabric is thin and drapey, and extremely comfortable. Comfortable enough to wear with a four year old, grocery shopping, errands, lunch with friends. The length is a bit below the knees. I think the dress would have looked more youthful had the length been a couple of inches shorter - at the knees or slightly above the knees.
The neckline opens a bit, but I plan on wearing a camisole underneath anyways because I find it a bit too low cut. Overall a great buy. I can't wait to wear it in the spring and summer with sandals."

"Bought this dress in purple recently, to make a change from all the black dresses in my wardrobe. I wore it out for dinner recently and had so many compliments. (Even from my husband !)
Have now bought it in black too.
Fit is good, I'm a size 10/12 so bought the 12 as I read the fit was quite clingy.
It's a very flattering dress and I would recommend it"

"Bought this dress in the size 12 after finding most Boden skirts on the large size (I am a 14 in most stores) but the top half is neat and when stretched, the material does look cheap and a bit see-through. It does cling to every bump and curve, but with proper fitting underwear that can ensure it is flattering and slimming. Felt very comfortable wearing it and sure to get a lot of future use."

"In response to earlier rviews I ordered a size up bu it was still too snug!

I tried the brown first off and fell in love with the design although the colour washed me out a bit.

I have returned it for a red in a size larger and I'm keeping my fingers crossed...."

"I love Boden dresses, finding them flattering, good quality and a little bit different. Sadly, this fixed wrap dress didn't work for me. While the print was gorgeous in the red colour, the fabric was thin and clingy, especially around the hips, and hung on to every lump and bump. I suppose I could have invested in some serious support underwear, but found it too demoralising, and knew I wouldn't wear the dress when I had others (including the summer's wrap dress) which flatter without. The neckline sat awkwardly - there was a lot of fabric over the bust, but it was rather clingy - and the fabric tended to ruch up into creases at the waist which looked odd. I exchanged this for the sassy jersey dress which is just brilliant - completely flattering for my size 14 hourglass shape."
