"... luckily I am. Loved the cheery yellow. I am a large and curvy 14 and I like my dresses to cover my knees. I am 5' 7 and the 14L was perfect, tighter on me than in the photo but not stretching at all. The wool is quite a tight knit and looks smooth, the dress didn't "bag" even after a day sitting down in the office. Now I just have to keep the moths off it..."

"I first bought this dress in purple(8R). I loved it so much I bought the black too. It's a lovely quality knit that is soft, very comfortable and hangs beautifully. The arm fit is elegantly slim and even though this is an empire line it is still nice and slim around the hips but neatly covers over the tummy area. I wear this dress lots both to work and more casually with woolly tights. Wasn't brave enough to try the yellow too!!"

"What to say about the yellow knitted dress?
Well - to cut to the chase, so to speak, I have decided to keep it.
On the plus side, it fits and drapes well, is very pretty and really warm and cosy - a great spring piece.
On the minus side, I have never before ventured out dressed entirely in yellow, and do feel slightly conspicuous. On a bad day, in this dress, you could resemble a banana, or even a bumble bee, if accessorised with too much black!
However, I am keeping it, so these concerns are really only frivolous.
It is a very cheery dress, and DH even counselled keeping it, (a rare thing).
I ordered the 12L (no 12R left in sale) and like the length - I am 5ft 5 and it's just below knee length - looks good with boots.
If you have been 'hipping and hamming' about ordering (like me) - I'd say go for it."

"Bought this in yellow 10R at sale price and love it.It fits like a glove, but not too clingy around hips and is a great zingy, cheerful colour for spring. Have worn it with a wide belt and with thick tights and ballet pumps. This is a really good buy, don't be afraid of the colour it's very flattering."

"Just received the yellow dress in the sale and it's lovely. A bright unusual colour (I will definitely stand out!) but it suits my blonde hair and pale colouring. I am between an 8 and 10 in Boden dresses and think this is right in the 10 as it clings to your hips a bit. Feels nice and warm and a good price in the sale. Only criticism is it's quite see through so you have to be careful if wearing dark underwear or even thick black tights. Definitely a keeper though."

"A good all round dress, great for day wear, comfortable but a little more loose fitting than I expected. Compared to other size 8 dresses I've bought from Boden this one is not as good a fit - appreciate that it's styled to be comfortable, but found it to be particularly 'baggy' at the hips. Quality of the knit is fab and great value at sale price."

"I gave my grey Knitted Ruffle Dress a rave review and I'll do the same for the yellow one I got in the Sale. In a way its even better as its so zingy and original, and absolutely in tune with the lime/chartreuse/yellow theme now ringing through the fashion scene! Great with black or grey tights and boots.

For me this is the perfect shape for a knitted dress (I've tried and rejected many), with the empire line and ruffle/buttons minimising my wide shoulders, emphasising my smallish bust, and draping over my not-so-flat tummy. Its also supremely comfortable - nothing tight anywhere.

Please Johnny bring it back next year, and don't be daunted by general lack of enthusiasm for the yellow. I love your bold brave colourways."

"I bought this in the yellow and the colour was not what it looks like on the website. Its slightly "sick" looking and the fit was not that great. However, the knit was good quality, I give it that much. This one went back... very quickly!"

"What a super buy! My first Boden purchase. I really AM fussy about my clothes and was delighted to be able to buy something for winter that fits perfectly, feels really warm and looks great. Casual but smart enough for weekending and evenings out. Thought I'd need to dress it up with a scarf to add interest but the ruffles add enough detail, necklaces work a treat! Can also be worn with flatties or heels. So...a pretty and versatile buy."

"Just received my dress today and I was really pleased with the fit and quality. I am 5ft 4ins and a size 12 but ordered the 14L to be on the safe side. The length is just below the knee and it skims the body perfectly. I am looking forward to wearing this on Friday when I go to lunch with my friends. Well done Boden!"

"My second boden purchase, and I am again impressed with the quality and fit. I bought the yellow (size 10) and disagree with previous review who said it wasn't a nice shade. I am pale with brown hair and eyes and love the colour. Sometimes it looks bright and sometimes more mustardy, but very flattering. I have received a lot of positive comments already and worn this dressed down for work with brown boots, and dressed up for a party with purple belt and jewellery.
Only downside is that despite handwashing and drying as per instructions it has stretched a bit, and is now a bit low in the neck. Next time I will get it dried cleaned."

"I love this dress - so comfortable and easy to wear. Very soft and warm and perfect with opaque tights and boots.

I am 5'10", size 12 with a large bust and ordered this in a 12R which is perfect on me - falls just above the knee which is very flattering.

I only wish it were available in more colours. I have it in grey but the other colours available don't suit my colouring.

One of the problems I have with Boden clothes is that the colours are often too muted. More jewel colours please!"

"Perhaps it's a bit late in the season to be putting in a hearty recommendation for a dress, which has obviously been selling rather well, but I test-drove it all last weekend in very chilly conditions and it is a very cosy, comfy dress indeed. I have the grey, which is a very practical colour and goes with lots of other colours. The shape is a little straight up and down on me, but a cardigan on top gives it more shape. I followed the hint of another reviewer and wore a white shirt under it so I didn't have to have it cleaned too often, as the wool is thick and warm and I was concerned that it would pull out of shape if it was handwashed. All in all I'm delighted with it qnd it will come in very useful whenever the temperatures plummet."

"Lovely material, lovely colour and good fit. i am a size 10-12 and ordered the size 10 which fits well. I am 5ft 2 in.

My only criticism, is that the neck is a little low so I am not able to wear it to work which is a great pity as I was hoping to do so."
