"Received dress this morning & couldn't wait to try on. Normally 16 but ordered 18R as suggested and it fits perfectly in all the right places. I found that it compliments my curves & the neckline is just right. Not itchy at all - the wool is as soft as cashmere!! Even though the price seems a little steep, I just know that it will be a favourite in my wardrobe for just about any occasion so with that in mind, the money has been well spent! Ordered 'SBL' colour and they are the most divine colours to put together. Well done Boden!!"

"Ordered the purple dress and was extremely pleased with it. Definitley worth the wait. I'm a size 18 and it fits perfectly, hugging in all the right places without being clingy, very flattering and did not find the neckline too low at all. Love the colours too. Being wool it's a tiny bit scratchy so I suggest wearing a cami underneath. Have had loads of compliments, thank you very much for a great product."

"I fell in love with this dress and read all the reviews. I was concerned by the comments of it being scratchy. I am sooo sensitive but you know what-not scratchy at all. I read about it being clingy. I am a curvy. bumpy 16/18 so ordered up a size. Not necessary as this is a beautiful fit true to size. Casual and smart at the time. Fell for the blue skirted option but ended up with the purple one. I have found all the reviews helpfull and glad i purchased. Will wear it for every and any occassion. well done Boden. Another wardrobe classic...with a twist :-)xx"

"Knitted dresses are all over the high street at the moment but I think this one has an edge.It's just so pretty. I bought a 12 long and it fits perfectly. It skims rather than clings!. Its very soft and comfortable to wear but I think it won't be a work item as its fairly low cut.- great possibly for a semi smart occasion with boots or heels."

"I now have this dress in all three colours and love each and everyone of them. The colours and details on this dress are fantastic, and it is ridiculously comfortable! I bought the knitted dress last year and loved it and it has held up great! I look forward to going to work in these dresses all winter and be cozy, comfortable and uber stylish!

"I am standard size 10 and 5'5'' so ordered 10L hoping to wear this with boots. As the dress just hit midway on my knee I measured it to find it is not quite 40'', rather somewhere in between the standard and the long length. Having said that, I will hold on to it ,as it really is lovely. As other reviewers have said it is very easy to dress up or down, definitely a staple for an autumn/winter wardrobe."

"I bought the knitted dress a couple of seasons ago and have worn it to death with boots. Thought I would treat myself to this one too and I am sooo happy with it. The only thing I would mention is that the fit is a little more snug that the last version. A good pair of 'hold it all in' knickers are essential!! Looks fab though"

"I just received my dress today and it is wonderful! I ordered it in the Purple colour combo and it is to die for! The material is soo soft and luxurious. I ordered it in a size 8R and it fits perfect! I'm 5'6" and it ends just at my knee. I just ordered it in both other colours and can't wait for them to arrive. It is extremely flattering over the body and i can't wait to wear it with boots, or a cute pair of tights and flats.
I strongly suggest buying this dress, you won't regret it!"

"I bought this dress in the Damson Melange colourway, which is gorgeous. I am petite (5 ft) and an E cup and I find this dress in a size 8R fitted me beautifully and I find the cut is very flattering. The downside is that it is hand wash or dry clean only and it is quite pricey."

"Got two of these, the blue and the charcoal. One in size 10 and one in size 8. Amazingly they both fit perfectly, obviously the 10 is not so clingy as the 8, but the fall, fit and cut make them both perfect. It all depends of what one prefers and in what context they are to be used. The bigger one for everyday and work and the smaller for more formal. Can't fault this dress in any way, please do more!"

"I don't have much success with Boden clothes as I am unfortunately v short (5ft) and am disappointed when wonderful clothes arrive but just don't fit HOWEVER this dress is absolutely stunning! If you are short and slim this is a perfect fit - I really wish Boden would do a petite range for the rest of their items, especially their coats. nb: I ordered the charcoal coloured dress - the dark colour on the bottom is likely to be more slimming if this is a consideration?"

"I bought the dress in the pale bue combo. Lovely colour and feel of the fabric but looked awful on. I'm a slim size 10 however this dress clung to my bottom dreadfully. I returned it and have ordered the rufflle dress and hope it won't be as unflattering!"

"I ordered this dress in a 10 and it felt tight so I ordered a 12 .I wore it once for work it looked gorgeous to start with and then got baggy around the bum!! it also bobbled after one wear I love the style and colour but will return as I think it will in time resemble a rag the price is high and I just think its because its wool."

"Like the first reviewer I was unsure about the colour combos so ordered the pale blue one which she kept as did I and also the damson one which I returned. I agree with no. 2 reviewer that it is clinly and you probably do need to be quite slim. However, I do like it enormously and got rave comments from my girlfriends when I wore it recently. I bought a 10 so it is fine for me and I am quite busty. I also bought the longer length as I am 5ft 6'' and a bit and it is just on the knee so fine for wearing with boots."

"I was unsure about ordering this dress in the light blue combo after reading the mixed reviews regarding size - but I am so glad I did as it is stunning! The pink around the neck-line, the dark brown on the edge of the sleeves and skirt are just fabulously glamorous. It is soft, feminine and sexy in an under-stated sort of way. Size-wise, I am a standard Boden size 10 but ordered the 8R so it would be fitted - it is a perfect fit; fitted but comfortable. I am not tall (5ft 5) but it comes just to the knee, not below, so bear in mind if you are taller or want a dress to cover the top of your boots. Love it!"

"I ordered this dress in the sable along with the leopard shoes after falling in love with them in the photo.I'm a size 14 at the bottom and have a large bust so I ordered this in the 16 L.It is incredibly unforgiving.Very small fit.Probably the worst item I have ever bought from Boden.I had 2 of their knitted colourblock dresses last year and they were great.This was far too short and it stuck out at the side where the label is and I'm only 5ft 5.I have also bought the sassy knitted dress which is lined and a much better dress all round.This may be great for a skinny person as depicted in the photo but if you're a curvy or larger lady I would give this one a wide berth."
