"I ordered the red and the green stripy versions of this but there's a huge difference in the actual garment sizes so much so that I'm not sure which one is the right one. I have two tops labelled as 14 but the green is a good 2 inches smaller all round. the red is far more roomy. I think it must be that one has been incorrectly labelled.

The overall look is great but I would say that the "pale grey" stripe is actually a cream shade. It's subtle and it's not white but it isn't grey either. The material is a perfect thickness - I have some slub cotton tops that are really flimsy but these aren't and are great quality fabric.

Apart from the size issue, I do have another puzzlement and that is that the red one absolutely reeks of a perfumey smell. I read another comment somewhere about this, I think on another item. I intend to keep the red but it;s going to need washing before I wear it as it really is a very overpowering smell. The green one doesn't smell at all."

"I admired this in the catalogue and now have three...wish I could have got the coral stripe too. I am a size 8 and found this fit perfectly in the body although the shoulder seam sits quite high meaning the sleeves are too short (I am not long-limbed!) More of these next time please but give us some more length in the sleeve!"

"I was lucky enough to grab the grey stripe in the sale after eyeing it up for a while. I love it and would have happily paid full price. Gorgeous detailing and lovely thick material. highly recommended."

"I got this in grey and was surprised that the trim was quite so 'neon'. Its also quite tight across the bust. Have kept it though as I love stripes and the over all quality is good. Would suggest going a size up though if you are between sizes"

"I bought 2 of these striped tees at the beginning of the season and have now bought more during the sale--so now I have multiple stripes! The 12 fit me beautifully --slim enough to be curve hugging, but not so slim as to show off my muffin top. Am also short-waisted and the length is great. For reference I am a 36 B/C and 6-8 U.S. While the arms are slim-fitting, I didn't find them at all uncomfortable and I don't have stick arms. The sleeves could be a tiny bit longer and the contrast trim sometimes is not well trimmed and looks a little tatty. Hope this comes back next year in some more cool stripe combinations and solid colors--like black, charcoal gray and purple?"

"nice quality shirt, slim fit. if you are on the larger end of a size, you might consider sizing up. neckline is scoop but not revealing - thank you! please keep giving us modest neckline options in your shirts and tops! i find that i cannot fit into most boden tops because the neckline gaps or it is just too lowcut for comfort/decency."

"I ordered this in my normal Boden size 12 and the fit was so tight all over but especially in the arms. I am average in size. Not super skinny but not overweight either and my chest is 34-36C. I think I will give this one more try in a size 14 because the fabric does seem nice. Definitely size up on this one."

"I have ordered two of these Tees because they are functional. Don't know about you but I find it increasingly difficult to find clothes to just wear, that are not 'fashion' items and do not require hours of shopping and messing about with sizes shapes and cuts to make them work together.

However, as with other Boden tops, I find that YES there is an anomaly with the fit across the shoulders and the tops of the arms and chest. I am petite size ten but need a Boden 12 for these tops. I find them a tad uncomfortable in said areas and feel that they are cut too tightly across the chest and shoulders so that the shoulder seams ride up and look odd. They are correspondingly rather loose around the waist, probably because I need to order a size bigger than I actually am for the shoulder fit.

I am hoping they will 'wear in' but will not be purchasing any more Boden tops until this strange anomaly is sorted out. Sorry folks."

"Ordered this in grey on a whim, and love it! It's a perfect fit, I am a standard size ten. I didn't find the arms tight at all.

The fabric is lovely, not thin, and it washes really well. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered another one, in blue stripe this time (to go with the Navy Fun Tank). I did find the sleeves on the blue one slightly tighter than the grey, but still comfortable on me.

If you are thinking about ordering one of these, please do, you won't be disappointed. They are more expensive than high street tees, but worth it."

"After reading other peoples reviews decided to order two Tees, one in my normal size and one a size up..Looked lovely , but trying it on, oh dear, not a pretty sight..The arms were really too tight on both of the sizes, so much so it really was very uncomfortable..My tops of the arms are not fat but neither are they thin..I am 5ft and petite..What a shame..."

"I love this striped top. The contrast edging makes it special. The fabric has substance and heft; drapes nicely. Body and arms are long enough, and neckline is flattering. Others have noted that the arms are tight, but I found that this was not a problem."

"I waited ages for this tee to arrive in the white and was a bit concerned that the fit might not be good.I just wanted to say that I found everything about this top excellent especially the neckline , its just right and didn,t find the sleeves in the least bit tight maybe sizing varies in different colourways, I hope not as I really want another one now."

"I can't understand the many other comments re sizing issues on arms. I ordered this in the grey stripe in my usual size and it fitted beautifully - neither too baggy nor too skimpy and a good length. I sometimes find Boden tees to finish just above my jeans waistband but this doesn't. And the neckline is the perfect height for layering under cardigans. Good thick fabric too."

"The reviews on this shirt were all over the place, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I love it! I got the blue stripes and it is very flattering and fits perfectly. I chose a size based on the size chart. The only downside about this shirt is that the other colors I would like are always out of stock."

"I returned it. It was too loose fitting around the waist. A little tent-like. Plus there was loose material around the scoop neck so did not sit well. Shame as nice quality."

"The color is beautiful, the feel of the fabric is just right. The only problem is the sleeves didn't fit right. They are too tight at the top of the arm. The sleeve is narrow at the top, by the shoulder and wide at the end by the wrist. Maybe mine was sewn wrong."
